This very happy man, was inspired by a book given to me called
” Portrait Sculpting:Anatomy and expressions in clay” Authors — Phillipe and Charisse Faraut.
This installation was part of a class called Gorilla Art. The class was tasked with preparing their artwork which was to be secretly installed in a public place somewhere in Wellington. And then to stand back and gauge the public’s reaction. My contribution to this class was the plaster cow patties featured in the photos below. These were placed on a ramp outside the Wellington City Library, in the City Civic Square.
Intaglio Printing, where I rubbed the ink into the etching with a stiff rag, then put it all through the roller. I also made the frame from tongue and groove floor boards, at a weekend course at The Learning Connexion, School of Art and Creativity.
